"Art deco style for this refined, minimalist lamp composed of two blown glass spheres balancing on a fine metal holder. A sculptural, sophisticated light construction that explores the notion of balance. Michael Anastassiades, a Cypriot designer based in London, explains: "I came across a video of a juggler. He was spinning a set of balls, moving them along his arms to his fingertips. And as I was fascinated by the magic of his art, suddenly the balls seemed perfectly still. I wanted to capture this precise moment. It was my starting point. " The initials IC come from the codes that the English police use in their reports to define the ethnic background of people who they stop in the street: IC1 for a Northern European individual, IC2 for a Hispanic person, IC3 for an Afro-Caribbean person, etc. It is a fun way of defining the different models of this collection. ".
This wall and ceiling light is a versatile choice that adds a modern, sleek touch to various interiors. I love its clean design, which works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist spaces, but it can also bring a fresh edge to mid-century or industrial styles. Its neutral white and silver finish make it highly adaptable-you can use it as a statement piece in a living room or as focused task lighting in a bedroom or hallway. For a balanced look, consider pairing it with other metallic or monochrome accessories. Practical styling tips include placing it at eye level for comfortable reading light or creating a layered lighting scheme by combining it with table or floor lamps to add depth and functionality. Overall, it’s a smart, unobtrusive fixture that elevates the overall aesthetic without overpowering the room.
