Description

The Luxury Supreme mattresses are filled with natural fibres, such as British wool traceable to Waitrose and Red Tractor assured farms and responsive natural Talalay latex. Plus, plant-based comfort layers made from cotton, Himalayan allo and silk-like kapok. These fibres are naturally breathable, have temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking properties and offer supreme comfort. This No 2 model has a firmer feel for a more supportive sleep experience and its zip-link feature means you have one large mattress that can be split into two independent mattresses. ReActivePro™ Pocket Spring System The enhanced pocket spring system in this mattress provides support and pressure relief and helps to align the spine while you sleep to prevent aches and pains. The springs work individually, enhancing airflow so your mattress stays fresh and cool. Hypnos’ Triple Edge Protection™ means the support spans the entire width of the mattress, so you have a wide sleep surface. Plus, the edge is reinforced with a genuinely hand side-stitched border and frame, with firmer edge springs to prevent rolling. Make the most of your new mattress Leave your new mattress to air in a well-ventilated room for a few hours to diffuse any natural scents from its fillings. Use a breathable mattress protector and air your mattress regularly. This mattress complements a sprung bed base to enhance its luxury feel, but if you have a slatted base, ensure the gaps are no more than 7.5cn apart. Follow the care instructions supplied. We recommend using a good quality mattress protector under your bed linen to protect your new mattress from spills and stains. Plus, to meet the conditions of our 60 Night Comfort Trial, you'll need to purchase a mattress protector in the same transaction as your mattress, and ensure it is used. Browse our range here. Try before you buy This is an important purchase and it’s worth trying your new mattress in one of our shops to make sure it's right for you. Our Partners can tell you more about its benefits, and recommend options based on your needs.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
