Description

This fun statement side table is a twist on traditional bobbin furniture. The finials on top pay homage to the circular forms of the original, while the legs feature blocks for a bold reinterpretation. While agonising over the size of the square forms, our designer began stacking her son’s building blocks for inspiration – Huxley has since lent his name to the distinctive piece. The mango wood frame is hand finished in a rich blue colour and then rubbed for a tonal effect that reveals its depth, resulting in anything but a flat finish.

Our Stylist Says

I love this little side table for its bold, contemporary design and rich indigo hue that adds a pop of colour to any space. It works well in both modern and eclectic interiors, providing a striking but functional piece for bedrooms or living rooms. To style it effectively, try layering it with textured accessories like ceramic vases or small books to enhance its visual interest without overwhelming its sculptural form. Keep the surrounding decor minimal to let the vibrant blue really stand out, or opt for complementary shades like warm woods or soft greys for a more subdued look. The sturdy build and compact size make it versatile for various uses - from holding a glass of wine next to the sofa to displaying a favourite lamp or trinkets.
