Description

A twist on traditional bobbin furniture, this fun statement side table features finials that pay homage to the circular forms of the original, while the legs feature blocks for a bold reinterpretation. WWhile agonising over the size of the square forms, our designer began stacking her son’s building blocks for inspiration – Huxley has since lent his name to the distinctive piece. The mango wood frame is hand finished in a rich red colour and then rubbed for a tonal effect that reveals its depth, resulting in anything but a flat finish.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Huxley Side Table for its bold, yet versatile design. The brushed red finish makes it a great statement piece that can add warmth and colour to both contemporary and eclectic interiors. It works well as an accent table in living rooms or bedrooms, particularly when paired with neutral or monochrome schemes, as it can bring a pop of colour without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include layering it with a few decorative objects like a small plant or book on top, and placing it next to a upholstered armchair or sofa for both function and visual interest. Its unique design lends itself well to minimalist settings, but it can also complement more maximalist interiors that play with colour and texture.
