I love this black display cabinet for its clean lines and subtle fluted detailing - it slots straight into contemporary, Scandi-inspired or industrial schemes without overwhelming the room. The slim metal legs and matt finish keep the look light, while the lower doors offer hidden storage for less-attractive bits.
For styling, treat each shelf as a mini vignette: group objects in odd numbers, vary heights by stacking a couple of books under a small plant or ceramic, and leave some negative space so it doesn’t feel cluttered. Use the bottom shelf for a woven basket or box to corral everyday items, then add a simple piece of artwork or mirror above to tie it all together.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
