Description

Hunda Outdoor Half Wall Lantern with PIR Sensor, Black

Our Stylist Says

I love this outdoor wall lantern for its classic yet contemporary look; the black finish makes it versatile and easy to coordinate with various exterior styles, from traditional to modern homes. It’s practical too, thanks to the PIR sensor which adds convenience and security by automatically lighting the entrance when needed. This piece works especially well in minimalist or urban settings where clean lines and functional design are key. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with sleek planter pots or monochrome outdoor furniture to create a cohesive look. It’s a simple way to enhance kerb appeal while ensuring functionality, making it a smart choice for most exterior schemes.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
