I’m a fan of the black Hudson stool for its slim, powder-coated frame and gently curved back - notes of minimalism that feel at home in contemporary kitchens or cosy industrial corners. The low-profile silhouette slips effortlessly under islands or breakfast bars, and the round footrest adds just enough comfort without bulk. For styling, try lining up two or three against a white or light-wood counter to emphasise contrast, then soften the look with a woven runner or a couple of potted plants on the worktop. If you prefer layers, drape a folded throw over the back or add a slim cushion in muted tones to tie in with adjacent seating.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
