Description
Hubble Bubble is an ethereal, joyful pendant, refined and playful, created by the iconoclastic Dutch designer Marcel Wanders. This pendant consists of multiple glass spheres, delicate and light like soap bubbles, mounted on a metal ring. The spheres are arranged on either side of the ring. Dutch designer Marcel Wanders explains: “Hubble Bubble captures those carefree childhood moments of blowing soap bubbles which then float around aimlessly”. The blown glass spheres come in two finishes: frosted glass (opaline) or iridescent glass (transparent). The steel ring serves as a conductor (very low voltage electric current) to power the LED light sources. This Electrosandwich technology patented by Moooi eliminates the need for unsightly electrical cables and maintains a clean aesthetic. The ring can be suspended in different positions: horizontally, vertically or at an angle.
