Handcrafted in India from wool and hemp, Hourdou is rich in its many nuances. Against a background of soft tones, a shades of celadon and grey gives this warm rug a sophisticated mottled effect and a depth, almost a vibration... Product Details • 50% wool, 50% hemp • Weight: 2750g/m² • Thickness: 1cm • Handmade in India Quality Info • Wool is a warm and comfortable fibre. A wool rug is also an excellent thermal and sound insulator. Care instructions • Some materials such as wool are very fibrous and you can actually observe a piling during the first weeks of use: this is a normal for this type of product and is not a defect. Remove the excess fibres by hand where possible, do not use a vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush as this can pull and tear the fibres. The pilling will improve over time. • We advise you to vacuum it very little the first month and then to vacuum it without rubbing too much always without using the brush. • Remove stains immediately with a clean, damp cloth. • Dry clean recommended. I love this wool and hemp rug for its natural texture and understated colour palette, which adds warmth and a touch of organic sophistication to any space. It works particularly well in contemporary and minimal interiors, but can also bring a soft, grounding element to boho or Scandi-inspired rooms. Practical styling tips include layering it under a dining table or coffee table to define zones, while its durable fibres make it great for high-traffic areas. To keep it looking its best, pair with furnishings in neutral tones and avoid placing it directly against walls that could cause it to curl, and consider a rug pad for added stability and comfort.
