I’m a fan of the slim oak chest for its compact footprint and solid build - it’s perfect for squeezable spaces like hallways or snug bedrooms. The warm oak tone and simple metal handles sit comfortably in Scandi, farmhouse or contemporary interiors without looking fussy.
Styling tip: layer a round mirror above and flank with a pair of minimal wall lights to open up a corridor, or use it as a bedside alternative in a neutral scheme. Keep the top clear except for a low ceramic tray for keys and a small plant or bud vase to balance practicality with a touch of personality.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
