I’m a fan of this oak-effect low bookcase for its clean lines and warm, natural tone - it slips seamlessly into Scandi, contemporary or modern farmhouse schemes. Its shallow depth makes it ideal for smaller living rooms, hallways or home offices where you still need display and storage without overwhelming the space.
For styling, mix horizontal book stacks with upright books to vary heights, then use woven baskets or boxes on the lower shelf to conceal everyday clutter. A couple of small plants or sculptural objects on the top shelf will break up linear edges, while a framed print leaning against the back adds instant personality without drilling holes.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
