I’m a fan of this marble-effect coffee table for its mix of luxe and practicality - the black top feels smart without being overbearing, while the hidden and open storage keeps essentials out of sight. It suits contemporary, Scandinavian or industrial schemes equally well, especially against neutral sofas or timber floors. For styling, group a low ceramic vase and a couple of coffee-table books on one side, balance it with a small tray of candles or a decorative bowl on the other, and tuck baskets or magazines into the lower shelf. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
