Description

Hol Ceiling Pendant, Black

Our Stylist Says

The black pendant is a versatile choice that lends itself well to modern and contemporary interiors. I love how its striking geometric design adds drama without overwhelming the space, making it a great focal point above dining tables or in living areas. Its subdued colour anchors a room’s colour palette, while the multiple bulbs provide practical, even lighting. For styling tips, consider pairing it with minimalist or monochrome décor to enhance its statement quality, or introduce contrasting textures or colours in surrounding furnishings for visual interest. It works particularly well in spaces with high ceilings, where it can be allowed to make a real impact, and can be complemented with other black or metallic accents for a cohesive look.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
