I’m a fan of the Hockley table for its clean lines and the way the oak top sits against the black trestle base. It works equally well in Scandi-inspired dining rooms, modern farmhouse kitchens or pared-back industrial spaces, thanks to its sturdy silhouette and neutral palette. For styling, keep the tabletop clear except for a simple runner and a green centrepiece to emphasise the natural oak. Mix in upholstered chairs or metal-frame stools in muted tones, and add a textured rug underneath to ground the look and keep the area cosy.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
