I’m a fan of this industrial coffee table for its straightforward blend of warm vintage-brown timber and slim black metal legs, which suits both loft-style and more pared-back Scandi interiors. The lower shelf is genuinely useful - tuck woven baskets there to hide toys or remotes, while the tabletop stays clear for a neat stack of coffee-table books, a small tray of ceramics and a low vase of foliage. It sits well against a neutral sofa or a leather armchair, and layers effortlessly on a jute or flatweave rug to keep the look balanced and practical.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
