Description

Legend has it that the ancient shaman-queen of Japan, Himiko, was gifted multiple bronze ‘magic’ mirrors from the Emperor of China, some of which were found within her tomb. Inspired by this story, our Himiko Mirror – with its expansive glass and delicate, hand-painted gold frame – brings a little of that magical energy to a home, too.

Our Stylist Says

I love this mirror for its elegant yet versatile look; the antique gold finish adds a touch of warmth and sophistication that works beautifully in both classic and modern interiors. It’s perfect for adding a statement piece above a console in a hallway, or as a focal point in a bedroom dressing area. When styling, consider pairing it with warm metals or soft neutral palettes to enhance its golden hue, and keep surrounding accessories minimal to let the mirror shine. Practical tip: hanging it at eye level or slightly above eye level maximises its visual impact and helps open up the space effectively.
