Our Stylist Says
The Highgrove Celestial 1000 mattress and divan set with headboard offers a sleek, contemporary look that works well in modern or minimalist interiors. I love how its neutral tones and structured design give a calm, uncluttered vibe, making it easy to style with colourful or textured bedding for contrast. The built-in storage drawers are a practical addition, especially in smaller spaces, while the strutted Capel headboard adds a touch of understated elegance. For styling tips, keep accessories simple - layering with crisp pillows and soft throws can add cosy detail without overpowering the clean lines. Overall, it’s a versatile piece that combines functionality with a refined aesthetic suitable for a variety of bedroom styles.

About Downtown
Centuries of History and Growth
Downtown isn't just another store; they're a company with over two centuries of history! The journey began in the Lincolnshire town of Boston in 1804, when visionaries John Oldrid and Richard Hyde started their retail adventure by purchasing a modest retail unit.
The timeline of their growth is nothing short of impressive. From the launch of Downtown Boston in 1981, the grand opening of Downtown Grantham in 1989, to the launch of their transactional website in 2009, Downtown has evolved and adapted while preserving its essence.
Today, they proudly operate successful stores in Grantham and Boston, complemented by an expansive garden centre, continuing their tradition as a family-owned business that has thrived for over 200 years.
Unrivalled Selections and Expertise
When one thinks of Downtown, variety and quality come to mind. From exquisite furniture brands like Stressless, Parker Knoll, and Ercol to household names such as Smeg, KitchenAid, and Dyson, the store offers an expansive range catering to every need and desire.
Whether one is revamping their garden, refreshing their home interiors, or searching for the latest fashion brands like Barbour and Joules, Downtown is the ultimate destination.
Digital Presence and Personal Touch
Understanding the evolving needs of their customers, Downtown has established a strong online presence. Their website showcases over 20,000 products, offering the convenience of browsing from home and either opting for click-and-collect from their Grantham site or delivery across the UK.
The entire process, from warehousing to distribution, is managed from the Grantham site, ensuring seamless service. And it's not just about transactions; it's about building relationships.
With a team that takes pride in every order and goes the extra mile, the personal touch that Downtown offers is unparalleled. Their family ethos and dedication to customer satisfaction truly distinguish this independent business from the rest.
