Inspired by classic farmhouse furniture the Highgate range has been designed to complement both modern and traditional homes. The Highgate range is modern, practical, affordable furniture and with stylish silver handles looks fantastic too. Available in cream oak, grey oak and navy oak this range will suite a wide array of interiors. The Highgate coffee table features a large lower shelf ideal for storage. I’m a big fan of this Highgate table for its clean lines and the way the warm oak top plays against the deep navy base - it brings a modern edge without feeling cold. It suits Scandi-inspired schemes just as well as coastal or even urban-industrial interiors, thanks to that versatile colour contrast.
Styling-wise, make the most of the lower shelf with woven storage baskets or a neat stack of art books, then keep the surface uncluttered: perhaps a minimal vase with fresh greenery, a candle in a brass holder and a small ceramic tray for remotes. Neutral cushions and a textured rug will help tie the look together.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
