Price History

Description

The Hickory Ash Wood Lamp Table is a sturdy and stylish accent piece, blending rustic charm with modern elegance. Crafted from solid ash wood, it features thick, block-style legs and a durable stone top, perfect for holding a lamp, books, or decorative items. The natural wood grain and refined stone surface create a beautiful contrast, adding a touch of sophistication to any space. Whether beside a sofa or as a stand-alone piece, this table offers both timeless design and lasting durability.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this ash-wood lamp table for its clean lines and solid feel - the pale timber keeps things light, while the subtle joints at each leg add a handcrafted edge. It slots straight into Scandi-inspired or contemporary schemes but also works as a low-key bedside table in a more eclectic room. For styling, top it with a slim-lined lamp, a neat stack of coffee-table books and a small ceramic planter to balance texture. If you want extra interest, team it with a round metal side table nearby, or tuck a woven basket underneath for throws or magazines.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
