Description

Efficiently engineered to assure ergonomic alignment and support, this office chair is designed to provide you both short-term and long-term comfort. Its castors are suitable for all floors and ensure smooth movement around your room. Available in a choice of fabrics, it's an impressive model with a quiet, versatile form. This model is made with a TriFlex back which offers ergonomic performance with even greater durability. It's made from engineered plastic that defines three key zones to provide support. The three zones include: the sacral and lower lumbar, the centre of the spine and the upper scapula. The backrest therefore forms and moves with your body as you alter positions throughout the working day. It provides support where needed and helps you to maintain a healthy posture The plastic backrest is also easy-to-clean and enables effective ventilation, so you don't get too warm while you work The ergonomic support provided by this chair helps to prevent slouching and fatigue while sitting Easy to adjust: the seat and armrests are height adjustable and the backrest can tilt and lock into a position that's comfortable for each user The seat has a contoured shape to enable an even distribution of weight, and the depth can be adjusted Protect your floor For added protection to your floor and furniture, we recommend using floor pads or mats where possible. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this chair for its sleek, modern silhouette and high ergonomic quality, making it an excellent choice for both stylish and practical office setups. Its black mesh and minimalist design allow it to seamlessly fit into a range of interiors, from contemporary tech-inspired spaces to more understated, professional environments. When styling around it, consider pairing it with clean-lined desks and understated accessories to maintain a cohesive look. Practical tips include using a colour palette that complements the black tone-such as greys, navy, or natural wood finishes-to keep the space feeling balanced and inviting. Ultimately, this chair is not only functional but also adds a touch of modern professionalism to any workspace.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
