London-based studio duo, Kim Colin and Sam Hecht had a desire to simplify people's lives in an inspirational way. The result is the OE1 desk. Featuring a durable table top made from MDF and walnut veneer it has adjustable legs in powder-coated steel and aluminium. These teardrop-shaped legs can be positioned to display a rounded corner or 90-degree angle, whatever suits your workspace best. Want to see it first? I’ve been using the OE1 walnut desk for its pared-back silhouette and warm timber top, which works equally well in Scandi-inspired spaces or more industrial loft settings. Its slender steel legs give it a light, airy feel, so it won’t overwhelm a compact room but still reads as a design statement. Styling tips: keep clutter to a minimum with slimline desk trays and a simple desk lamp in matte black or brass. Add a small potted plant or a single framed print propped against the wall for a touch of greenery and personality. Pair with a softly textured rug underneath and an ergonomic chair in neutral tones to complete a calm, functional workspace.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion
John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
