Description
Serax Heritage Table Lamp:The Warmth of Natural MaterialsWith the Heritage table lamp, Sophie Ferjani has designed a lamp for Serax with a generous presence, conceived as a true decorative object. Its wide lampshade, made of stretched wool threads, rests on a ceramic base with simple, solid forms. Measuring Ø 50.5 × H 66.5 cm, the Heritage boasts imposing proportions that make it look more like a large decorative lamp than a small accent lamp. It comes in two versions, with a beige or vintage ochre base, both paired with a natural-colored lampshade. Sophie Ferjani:Warm, Lively DesignFrench interior architect, decorator, and designer Sophie Ferjani creates a world where natural materials, color, and comfort take center stage. Her approach emphasizes textures, artisanal craftsmanship, and objects that add depth to an interior without weighing it down. With the Heritage collection, this sensibility is expressed through a design language inspired by the Mediterranean, craftsmanship, and objects that seem to already have a history of their own. The combination of Wool and Ceramic gives the Lamp a tactile and familiar quality, enhanced by simple, enveloping shapes. What kind of light does the Heritage lamp emit? The Heritage lamp emits a soft, comfortable light. The stretched wool threads allow light to pass through while softening its diffusion, creating a subtle interplay between brightness and texture. The lampshade does not completely obscure the light source, allowing the lamp to contribute meaningfully to the room’s lighting while maintaining a warm atmosphere. Its generous size allows it to provide a distinct light presence on a piece of furniture, complementing the general lighting. Where should you place a 66.5-cm-tall table lamp?At 66.5 cm tall and 50.5 cm in diameter, the Heritage requires a stand that can accommodate its size. It will look particularly good on a dresser, a large console table, a low cabinet, or a generously sized end table. Its size makes it less of a traditional bedside lamp and more of a true focal point in the room. Placed in a living room, dining room, or entryway, it visually structures the space while providing soft light at eye level. Which finish should you choose: Beige or vintage ochre? The beige base offers a softer, more natural glow, ideal for interiors with light tones, light-colored wood, or raw materials. The vintage ochre finish further emphasizes the lamp’s character and creates a warmer contrast with the natural lampshade. Both versions retain the same artisanal and Mediterranean spirit. What are the technical specifications of the Heritage lamp? The lamp comes with a 200 cm twisted Textile cable and a switch located directly on the cable. It works with a maximum 5 W LED bulb E27(not included) and has an IP20 protection rating for indoor use. With Heritage, Sophie Ferjani combines wool and Ceramic to create a lamp that is expressive, tactile, and warm. A piece with character that transforms a piece of furniture into a true scene of light. Our Stylist Says
I love the Heritage Table lamp for its understated elegance and versatile neutral tone, making it an easy fit into both modern and classic interiors. Its beige textile shade adds warmth and softness, while the simple base offers a contemporary touch. This lamp works particularly well in cosy reading nooks, side tables in living rooms, or on bedside tables where a subtle, calming light is needed. Styling tip: pair it with textured ceramics or layered linens to enhance its tactile appeal. Its height makes it practical for ambient lighting without overwhelming smaller spaces, and its neutral palette means it can coordinate effortlessly with a range of colour schemes.
