Description

Hennock Ceiling Light, Brass

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Hennock ceiling light for its sleek, modern brass finish that adds a touch of sophistication to any space. Its clean, angular design works particularly well in contemporary interiors, but it can also complement mid-century modern or eclectic styles when paired with the right accessories. Practical styling tips include using clear or frosted bulbs to emphasise its minimalist aesthetic, and hanging it in rooms with high ceilings or open-plan areas to maximise its statement impact. This light is versatile enough to work over dining tables, in living rooms, or even in more minimal bedroom schemes, adding both warmth and visual interest without overwhelming the space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
