Description

With clean lines and sumptuous proportions, it’s no surprise our Hendricks sofa is a bestseller. Inspired by mid-century design and created in the Habitat design studio, the luxurious ink blue 4-seater Hendricks offers the upmost comfort with its low, wide arms and deep feather and fibre cushions for a casual, low-set seat. Finished stylishly with button detailing on the cushions. Made in Italy, this sofa is upholstered in our most luxurious velvet - this cotton blend fabric has a deep pile so is extremely soft to touch while also being hardwearing. Removable frame covers ensure easy cleaning, although we do recommend professional cleaning to avoid colour variation. We know how hard it can be getting a sofa into your home, so we’ve split our 4-seater Hendricks sofa in half for hassle-free access into your home. Delivered in 2 parts, it’s now even easier to get your dream sofa into your home but be sure to read our Sofa Measuring Guide to ensure your dream design is compatible with your space. Part of the Hendricks range, this sofa is also available in a choice of sizes, colours, fabrics and leathers.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Hendricks Ink blue velvet sofa for its rich colour and plush texture, making it a real statement piece that adds sophistication to any living space. Its easy-access design is practical for everyday use, especially in homes with limited mobility needs. This sofa works beautifully in contemporary or vintage-inspired interiors, where the deep blue can serve as a focal point or complement other jewel-toned accents. Styling tips include pairing it with neutral rugs and cushions for a balanced look, or layering with patterned throws for added texture. Its luxurious velvet finish invites you to relax in style, making it a versatile addition to both formal and relaxed living areas.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
