Description
With clean lines and sumptuous proportions, it’s no surprise our Hendricks sofa is a bestseller. Inspired by mid-century design and created in the Habitat design studio. Made in Italy, this sofa is upholstered in our Aquaclean Mystic velvet - With a brushed fabric feel, this family-friendly micro pile velvet has been treated to prevent stains. Simply use water to wipe away spillages. Removable frame covers ensure easy cleaning, although we do recommend professional cleaning to avoid colour variation. Part of the Hendricks range and available in a choice of fabrics and leathers in a variety of colours and sizes.
Our Stylist Says
I really like this Hendricks 3-seater, especially for contemporary or minimalist interiors, thanks to its sleek silhouette and deep charcoal hue. The velvet finish adds a touch of luxury without being overly formal, making it versatile for various schemes. It works particularly well in modern open-plan living spaces or cosy urban apartments where you want a statement piece that’s also practical. For styling tips, consider pairing it with textured cushions in bold or neutral shades to add depth, and keep surrounding décor in contrasting colours or metallic accents to elevate the look. Its right-hand chaise design also offers great flexibility for arranging seating areas around focal points like a fireplace or TV, making it both functional and stylish.

The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
