The seat is foam filled for comfort and the frame is constructed from solid, hardwood. The chair has long, bronze-coloured stainless steel legs that perfectly contrast the soft finish of the velvet. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
