The Wallis bed marks the one year anniversary of our ongoing collaboration with British Designer, Russell Pinch. Following the success of the Wallis sofa and armchair, we commissioned Russel to design a bed using his trademark silhouette. The result was a compact yet generous bed that mixes soft curves and crisp lines. The headboard has a slight curve that forms a delicate edge and the oak feet (available in natural, stained or black finish) are positioned at the very edge of the solid timber with foam and fibre structure. Entirely crafted in Britain, the Wallis Bed is available in a number of fabrics.
I’d refer to this simply as the Wallis velvet bed - it’s one of those easy-to-live-with designs that instantly lifts a scheme without feeling fussy. The Airforce Blue velvet is rich enough to read as a feature but still pairs nicely with neutral walls, warm oak or muted brass accents. The low, angled legs and neat headboard shape give a slightly mid-century edge, so it slips straight into Scandi, contemporary or even relaxed-glam interiors. For styling, keep your bedding in a light, natural palette (think ivory linen or soft grey cotton) and add interest with one or two textured throws or cushion fabrics - perhaps a boucle or subtle geometric print. Match your bedside tables to the oak feet for a cohesive look, and choose lamps with slim profiles so the headboard remains the focal point. A simple rug under the bed will anchor the whole setting and pull the colour scheme together.
