The Wallis bed marks the one year anniversary of our ongoing collaboration with British Designer, Russell Pinch. Following the success of the Wallis sofa and armchair, we commissioned Russel to design a bed using his trademark silhouette. The result was a compact yet generous bed that mixes soft curves and crisp lines. The headboard has a slight curve that forms a delicate edge and the oak feet (available in natural, stained or black finish) are positioned at the very edge of the solid timber with foam and fibre structure. Entirely crafted in Britain, the Wallis Bed is available in a number of fabrics.
I’m a fan of the Wallis bedstead for its clean, low-profile frame and soft cotton finish - it brings a relaxed yet contemporary feel to any bedroom. The black-pine legs ground the design, so it works equally well in Scandi-inspired schemes or more industrial, monochrome settings. To style it, keep your palette simple: crisp white linen with a charcoal throw adds contrast, while a couple of muted cushions introduce subtle texture. Pair with slim-line bedside tables in light wood or metal and a minimal wall lamp to maintain the bed’s uncluttered look. A soft rug at the foot of the bed will complete the setup without overwhelming the space.
