I’m a fan of the Tailor sofa for its smart tawny velvet upholstery and neat black feet - the deep seats and gently curved arms give a relaxed yet polished feel. Its warm clay-toned colour works brilliantly in both contemporary and mid-century inspired schemes, sitting equally well against crisp white walls or moody jewel-toned accents.
For styling, balance the sofa’s richness with a light-coloured sheepskin throw or linen cushions in soft neutrals and muted greens. Anchor the area with a low oak coffee table and a natural-fibre rug to pick up the upholstery’s warmth without overwhelming the space. Add sculptural table lamps or a couple of ceramic vases in matt finishes to keep the look fresh and practical for everyday use.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
By the 1900s, almost everyone in London knew Heal's for its great furniture. Interestingly, they were also among the first to sell electric lights in Britain. During World War II, their main store even helped by making parachutes for soldiers.
