The Nuvola Bed by Danish design studio Says Who for Heal’s – literally meaning ‘cloud’ in Italian – lives up to its name with cloud-like curves in a choice of fabrics. Soft and pillowy, the design creates a chic but comfortable frame for sweet dreams, while sitting low to the ground with solid wooden feet in a selection of finishes. Effortlessly stylish.
I’m a big fan of the Nuvola bed in ocean velvet because its low-profile frame and gently rounded headboard add a soft, contemporary feel without overpowering the room. The smart velvet upholstery brings a rich, tactile finish, while the walnut-stained oak feet introduce a subtle warmth and natural texture. This design sits comfortably in Scandi-inspired, mid-century or modern interiors. For styling, keep bedding layers simple with a neutral base - think crisp white or pale grey linens - then add contrast with a knitted throw and a couple of cushions in muted jewel tones. Position matching wooden or matt-black bedside tables and use warm LED lighting to accentuate the velvet’s depth. A single piece of oversized wall art or a large mirror completes the look without clutter.
