The Nuvola Bed by Danish design studio Says Who for Heal’s – literally meaning ‘cloud’ in Italian – lives up to its name with cloud-like curves in a choice of fabrics. Soft and pillowy, the design creates a chic but comfortable frame for sweet dreams, while sitting low to the ground with solid wooden feet in a selection of finishes. Effortlessly stylish.
I’m a fan of the Nuvola bed in biscuit velvet because its low-profile silhouette and walnut-stained oak feet feel both contemporary and warm. The soft neutral upholstery works brilliantly in Scandi-inspired or mid-century modern bedrooms, and it won’t overpower bolder wall colours or patterned rugs. For styling, pair it with crisp white or muted linen bedding and add a textured throw in a complementary shade (think terracotta or slate grey). Simple timber or metal-frame bedside tables and warm-tone bedside lamps will pick up the oak legs, while a low-pile wool rug under the foot of the bed helps define the space and keeps everything cosy.
