I’m a fan of the Matera bed in pistachio because its clean lines and muted green cotton upholstery bring a fresh yet subtle note to a room, while the slender black legs keep the look light - even at super-king size. It suits Scandi-inspired spaces, contemporary minimal schemes or even a modern eclectic mix where colour and texture matter.
To style it, stick to neutral linen bedding (think oatmeal or off-white) and layer in a charcoal or deep grey throw for contrast. Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
By the 1900s, almost everyone in London knew Heal's for its great furniture. Interestingly, they were also among the first to sell electric lights in Britain. During World War II, their main store even helped by making parachutes for soldiers.
