I’m a fan of the wide cashmere chest from Heal’s because its soft, muted lacquer and oak frame bring a clean, Scandinavian edge without feeling cold. Its generous six drawers make it ideal for a minimalist, mid-century or contemporary scheme, and the neutral tone easily complements both bold accent walls and natural palettes.
For styling, keep the top uncluttered: a low, leafy plant or a small lamp at one end, with a neat stack of books or a framed print at the other.
