Designed by Paola Navone and exclusive to Heal’s, the Hepburn armchair features the designer’s trademark blend of classic and contemporary styles. Made to order in southern Italy, a solid wood frame is beautifully upholstered in a choice of semi-aniline or soft leathers complete with mid-century inspired button cushion detail. The use of pre-stretched elasticated webbing plus foam core seat and back cushions with fibre topper provides a comfortable sit with ample posture support. Choose from two foot options, walnut or black wenge, to match your style.

I’m a fan of the Hepburn armchair in stone-washed leather for its clean mid-century lines and the way the patinated hide adds warmth to a room. The slim walnut feet lift the piece off the floor, giving it a light, airy feel despite the solid frame.
It works beautifully in a Scandi-inspired living room or an industrial loft - just keep surrounding pieces simple so the leather can shine. Pair it with a neutral wool rug, a minimalist side table and a textured throw to soften the look. A black metal floor lamp or a slim brass side tray will complete the styling without overwhelming the chair’s crisp silhouette.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
By the 1900s, almost everyone in London knew Heal's for its great furniture. Interestingly, they were also among the first to sell electric lights in Britain. During World War II, their main store even helped by making parachutes for soldiers.
