I’m a fan of this russet-velvet armchair for its warm, adaptable hue and classic rolled-arm silhouette - it’s equally at home in a contemporary living room or a more traditional reading nook. The walnut-stained feet give it a grounded feel, while the plush velvet adds just the right amount of luxury without feeling over-the-top.
Pair it with a neutral wool rug and a brass-legged side table to balance the depth of the colour, or layer it into a boho scheme with patterned cushions and a chunky knit throw. Make sure to position it near a light source - the velvet really comes to life in natural light - and leave a little breathing space around it so its shape can be properly admired.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
By the 1900s, almost everyone in London knew Heal's for its great furniture. Interestingly, they were also among the first to sell electric lights in Britain. During World War II, their main store even helped by making parachutes for soldiers.
