I often specify the Alto sofa for its clean lines and robust Melton wool upholstery in a versatile granite tone. Its slim black metal legs give it a light, floating feel, making it a great fit for modern Scandi schemes, contemporary lofts or pared-back city apartments.
For styling, balance the dark grey with a natural-fibre rug and oak side tables to introduce warmth. Add two or three scatter cushions in muted pastels or deep ochre for contrast, and drape a neutral throw over one arm. Position a low-profile coffee table in front and layer in a couple of sculptural lamps to complete a harmonious living space.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
