I often recommend the Alto sofa for its balanced blend of comfort and clean lines. The smart velvet finish in mercury grey sits beautifully in both contemporary and Scandi-inspired spaces, while the slim black legs lift the piece visually, making it ideal for smaller rooms or open-plan living.
For styling, layer a textured throw across one arm and add cushions in muted tones or a pop of ochre to break up the grey. Pair with a simple oak coffee table and a low-pile rug in natural fibres to keep the look fresh and unfussy.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
