I’m a big fan of the Alto sofa in putty - its gently curved back and slim black legs give a light, contemporary feel that works equally well in Scandi-inspired and more eclectic schemes. The neutral broad-weave upholstery sets a calm base, so you can introduce cushions or a chunky wool throw in muted terracotta or deep teal to add interest without overwhelming the shape.
Styling-wise, keep the surrounding palette soft - pale walls, a natural-fibre rug and a couple of oak or walnut side tables will echo the sofa’s warmth. Position it opposite a low media unit or floating shelves for balance, and layer different textures (linen cushions, a boucle footstool or a leather-wrapped tray) to bring depth to the look.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
By the 1900s, almost everyone in London knew Heal's for its great furniture. Interestingly, they were also among the first to sell electric lights in Britain. During World War II, their main store even helped by making parachutes for soldiers.
