I’m a fan of the Alto sofa for its clean, gently curved silhouette and smart contrast between the brushed cotton upholstery and slim black legs. It slips effortlessly into Scandi-inspired or contemporary living spaces, especially when paired with pale woods, muted rugs and simple metal-framed lighting. The rich pine-green feels both calm and versatile against neutral walls or alongside a punchy mustard cushion for a mid-century twist.
For styling, keep the look relaxed by layering two or three cushions in varying textures - think boucle or linen - and drape a soft wool throw over one arm. A low coffee table in light oak or marble, plus a sculptural floor lamp, will anchor the seating area without overwhelming the sofa’s sleek lines.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
