Description

The Hazel Shelf Floor Lamp in Black brings a whole new dynamic to floor lamps, giving you both lighting and a shelf in one. Featuring an in-line foot switch for ease of use and a simplistic design. This floor lamp will blend perfectly into most homes with the black finish blending with many interior choices and styles. Pair this floor lamp with the compatible LED bulb to get eco-friendly and energy-efficient lighting.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Hazel floor lamp for its sleek, minimalist design and versatile black finish, making it an easy addition to various interior styles. It works particularly well in contemporary, industrial, or modern living spaces, where its understated look can complement bold colour schemes or textured interiors. Practical styling tips include positioning it next to a reading chair or sofa for functional lighting, or using it to add height and visual interest to a corner. Its slim profile ensures it doesn't dominate a room, making it ideal for narrower spaces or as a stylish accent piece. Pairing it with textured fabrics or metallic accessories can elevate its look further while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
