HAY Check rug L Black 170x240 cm
Our Stylist Says
I love the check rug in black because it adds a bold, graphic element to a variety of interiors. Its monochrome palette makes it versatile, working well in modern, minimalist spaces as well as more eclectic or industrial settings. For styling, consider layering it over a neutral or contrasting coloured floor to enhance its pattern, or place it beneath a simple coffee table or dining table to anchor the room visually. Practical tips include pairing it with plain, solid-coloured furniture to let the pattern stand out, and ensuring the rug is large enough to define key seating or dining areas for a polished, cohesive look. Its size makes it perfect for larger living rooms, open-plan spaces, or even large bedrooms.

About Nordic Nest
An Odyssey in Scandinavian Design
Established in 2002, Nordic Nest underwent a transformation in name from Scandinavian Design Center in 2019. However, its core ethos remained unchanged - to introduce the world to the elegance and simplicity of Scandinavian interior design.
Today, it's not just a brand; it's a hallmark of premium Nordic design, offering a selection of over 30,000 products. From classic iconic pieces to contemporary marvels, the company provides a design experience that captures the very essence of a Scandinavian home - personal, timeless, and filled with memories.
Commitment to Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Nordic Nest isn't just about aesthetics; it's also about ethics. The company stands firm on its corporate social responsibility, emphasising employee well-being, promoting diversity and gender equality, and ensuring that business practices are transparent and ethical.
They're also making strides in environmental efforts, always seeking to reduce their carbon footprint. This focus on sustainability and corporate responsibility isn't just for today, but with an eye on the future, ensuring that both their designs and their business practices stand the test of time.
Bridging Cultures Through Translation
In today's interconnected world, language shouldn't stand in the way. To ensure their customers around the world can easily browse and shop, Nordic Nest partnered with Contentor, a company specialising in translations, to offer their website in multiple languages.
Their online shop, now available in ten languages, shows their commitment to localised content, ensuring that every visitor feels a personal connection.
Working with Contentor, Nordic Nest has focused on more than just translating words. They've worked together to create a full, enjoyable shopping experience for customers everywhere. This dedication to making customers happy has made Nordic Nest a favourite spot for lovers of Scandinavian design all over the world.
