I’m a fan of the Harvey table for its clean oak top and slim black legs - it slips easily into modern, industrial or Scandi-inspired schemes without feeling bulky. It works well tucked in front of a low-profile sofa, especially on a neutral rug, and you can style it simply with a small stack of design books and a matte-finish vase or a neat tray of candles. Because the base is so open, it’s also a good choice for smaller living rooms where you want a sense of space to be maintained.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
