Harvard offers a distinct collection of pieces ideal for casual living. Made from hard wearing, easy to clean, woodgrain texture finished boards in washed oak and contrasting grey grain effect accentuated with black metal bar legs and handles. Our medium sideboard offers plenty of storage space and is practical too. The wipe clean top surface is great for use as a serving area, for display or even for a TV.Underneath you will find single and double door cupboards, both with shelves, so allowing you to store glasses, dinnerware or anything else you want to keep handy in an organised way.

I’m a fan of this grey-fronted oak sideboard for its smart mix of textures and its slim metal legs, which lift the piece and keep it feeling light. The washed oak frame brings warmth, while the fluted grey doors add subtle depth, making it equally at home in a Scandi-inspired living room, a pared-back industrial dining space or a contemporary hallway. For styling, think layers and balance: top with a low cluster of stoneware vases in natural tones, a shallow tray for keys or candles, and a slim mirror or piece of art above to create vertical interest. Inside, use woven baskets or soft-close boxes to keep clutter out of sight, and fashion it as a media unit by neatly routing cables through the back.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
