Our Stylist Says

I’m fond of this pine media shelf for its straightforward lines and natural warmth - it’s a blank canvas that works equally well in Scandi-inspired living rooms, country cottages or a simple home office. The light pine keeps the look fresh, while seven adjustable shelves give you room for CDs, DVDs or blu-rays alongside decorative accents. To style it, group your discs by colour or genre for visual order, then break up rows with a small plant or framed photo every couple of shelves. If you need to soften the straight lines, add woven baskets on the lower tiers to conceal cables, controllers or other bits and bobs. It’s sturdy, easy to assemble and blends into most contemporary or traditional décors without fuss.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
