Springs are layered with all-natural fillings that are produced on or near Harrison Spinks’ Yorkshire farm, evidence of this company’s commitment to greener production methods. Fillings include pesticide-free hemp which is resistant to mildew for a more hygienic sleeping environment, and soft and springy naturally anti-bacterial Yorkshire wool which is sourced from local farmers. The cover is made of a chemical-free fabric that’s inherently fire retardant. This mattress is handmade by craftspeople using traditional methods of hand side stitching, tufting and tape edging, and is available in medium and firm tension, with a split tension option in king and super king sizes. Did you know?. Your mattress may have a faint odour which will dissipate after airing. The mattress should be aired for four hours after delivery to freshen and remove any aroma from storage. It may take time for your mattress to attain its full size once the springs have settled to the correct position. This is due to the mattress being upright during transit. Settlement of fillings and indentations caused by body weight compressing the fillings are natural and not considered defects. This can be minimised by regular rotating.
