Description

Get the perfect fit for modern or monochrome home styles with the Hardy Cage Ceiling Pendant with Bubble Glass Shade. Pendant lights look ideal when styled on either side of a bed for a symmetrical appearance, or can be styled over a dining table or kitchen island as a set of 3 for a stylish aesthetic. This ceiling light comes in a matt black finish with a cage design and a clear bubble glass cylindrical shade which is perfect for pairing with a separately sold vintage filament light bulb.

Our Stylist Says

I love this ceiling light’s modern industrial vibe, thanks to its matte black cage and bubble glass shade. It’s a versatile piece that works equally well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, but it can also add a surprising touch of character to more eclectic spaces. Practical styling tips include hanging it over a kitchen island or dining table to create a focal point, or grouping a few at different heights in a stairwell for added visual interest. The bubble glass adds a subtle texture that softens the overall look, making it a stylish yet functional choice for areas where good lighting is essential.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
