Description

Illuminate your exterior spaces with the Hans Outdoor Up and Down Wall Light in Stainless Steel. Designed for modern outdoor environments, this outdoor wall light is IP65 rated for weatherproofing and projects light upwards and downwards for a striking effect. The durable stainless steel finish also offers style and resilience against the elements.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Hans outdoor wall light because of its sleek stainless steel finish which suits contemporary exteriors brilliantly. It works well in minimalist schemes or when you want to add a modern touch to a more traditional setting. Its up and down lighting creates a subtle but effective atmosphere, making it perfect for illuminating garden walls, patio areas, or front entrances without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include pairing it with other stainless steel or black finished fixtures for a cohesive look, and positioning it at eye level or slightly above for optimal illumination. It's a versatile piece that combines function with a clean, understated aesthetic, making it a great choice for enhancing outdoor atmospheres with modern sophistication.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
