Description

Bring a bespoke look to even smaller kitchens with our versatile Hanne Slim Kitchen Island Unit. Stylish and flexible, the island is a sturdy piece made from pine and poplar wood with a painted finish in a soft grey that tones with everything.  The top is natural oak and has a hinged side with pull-out supports so that the workspace can be increased.   Stools can be tucked under the leaf when you want to use the island as a breakfast bar. The body of the island includes two sturdy tongue and groove shelves and two drawers with metal cup handles. The three pegs on one end make a convenient place to hang tea towels and oven gloves. Pair with any of our freestanding larders or pantry cabinets.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this slim island - its narrow footprint makes it ideal for tighter kitchens where you still want extra worktop and storage without overcrowding. The soft painted finish and solid wood top slot effortlessly into both Scandi-inspired and modern farmhouse schemes, while the open shelves and shallow drawers keep everyday bits within easy reach. Styling-wise, I’d group wicker baskets on the lower shelf for potatoes or linens, display a few cookbooks with a small herb pot beside them, and hang a linen tea towel from the side rail. Keep the surface pared back to a pretty vase or bowl of fruit, and you’ll strike the perfect balance between practical prep station and casual kitchen focal point.
