Our Stylist Says

I really like the Hank RGB LED outdoor spike light because of its sleek black finish, which lends a modern, understated touch that complements both contemporary and traditional exteriors. It’s perfect for highlighting garden features, pathways, or architectural details without overwhelming the overall outdoor aesthetic. When styling with this light, consider placing it alongside planting beds or along patios to create a soft, functional glow after dark. Its solar-powered feature adds an eco-friendly element, making it quite versatile in various outdoor settings. For a cohesive look, pair it with other black or metal exterior fixtures, and keep the planting low and structured around the light to ensure it’s both a visual and lighting focal point.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
