Known for their work at the frontier between art and design, Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen have created a lamp that is like a graphic gesture in space. The Chromed steel structure traces an aerial arch, evoking a materialized pencil line. At its end, the white Glass Lampshade diffuses a soft, homogeneous light, inherited from a model Flecked at a flea market and then reproduced with precision. A story born of necessityThe story of this lamp collection has become a founding tale for Le Duo. As Hannes recounts, it all started from a concrete need: "We were working in our new home, an old building with no ceiling outlet. So we came up with a Lamp that could be mounted on the wall and simply plugged into the mains. Presented at their first exhibition in 2011, these luminaires quickly won over galleries, collectors and publishers, to the point of becoming contemporary design benchmarks.
